It all depends on how much satisfaction you get out of them - thats the whole thing about the upgrades. If you turn them on 4 times a year, you probably won't get much satisfaction out of them as another upgrade. If you got them on every weekend thats another story.

My first phase of upgrades was functionality based, bags, tour pak, radio, GPS, etc. Now the second phase is performance based, I just got a K&N RK-3903 filter kit, and I'm going to get pipes (still deciding) and a PCIII. I got a LED speedo-tach that I'm going to put on as soon as it gets a little warmer in the ol garage, and that was $450, but I figure I'm going to be staring at it a lot, so I pulled the triiger on that upgrade.

I will probably get the LED lighting myself, I like them a lot also, but I'll probably get them after a few other upgrades. If I had $$$ pouring out of my pockets I'd get them tomorrow, but I got to spread things out and get them as I get some cash.

There are some nice videos on www.youtube.com, bikes with them on, installation videos and explaining the differences between the various types and brands. You might want to do a little searching on there.

Welcome to the forum!
