Hello from Iowa. I just got an 08 XL1200C (black)on Tuesday. I put the riders essentials kit on it, and I'm waiting for the hard leather bags to come in.
Wow what a change from a Suzuki 650. I've managed to get in about 200 miles since then, when it isn't raining, and I've definately fallen in love all over again.
Ah.....San Diego...I lived there once. Did eight in the Navy in the 90's. My brother is still there, well, on the Nimitz which isn't there. I bet the Sporty would love prowling the hills around Julian, grab some pie, and some bread at the place on the side of the road, can't remember the name, right before you head into the hills....
