Just a small introduction to what seems like a great Forum. Have ridden Harley for a number of years, but buying a house, having kids, paying for their college etc, etc., I sold my last ride 20 years ago. Now that the kids have gone and I have a few bucks, I ordered an '06 Road King this week (Black, carb, laced wheels). Should have it by Mar 31 and I'm shakin' with anticipation. Never had a touring bike before (always rigid), but at my age I'm thinkin' I'm going to love it. Plan on making lots of miles to make up for the lost time.
The wife is on board with all this, which makes the whole deal really sweet. Should have a few pics to show shortly.
I have the day off today, so I'm thinking I'll spend much of my time reading through the posts. I'm already thinking that this Forum could be habit forming I'm also thinking that I should start putting some thought into some type of less-restrictive exhaust/intake and carb jetting from the get go. Will snoop around to see what others have done in this area. With the exception of a few chrome add-ons, I'm thinking these will be the only mods I will make for the first year. Wanna get riding!
