Just a quick intro. I am a new member of the forum from Little Rock, AR. I don't have a bike yet, but am interested in a Harley Low Rider. My father had a Dyna Wide Glide, but when he passed away about 2 years ago, we let it get repo'd. I know that if he was still here, he would be very excited about the prospect of us riding together.
I have ridden some dirt bikes in the past - KTM 400 EXC and had a great time doing that, but realized that I didn't really live very close to any trails and the hauling the bike back and forth didn't really work well. I would really like something that I can throw my leg over and just ride around town, or hit the highway and get away from it all. The wife doesn't really understand, but I ain't asking permission.
I hope that I can learn a few things on here about what I am looking for so I don't make any of the stupid new buyer mistakes. I am currently saving up money for a down payment and when I get enough money and the time is right, I will be ready to buy.
Thanks in advance for welcoming me to the forum, I have looked it over the last couple of days and everything looks real good.
Thanks for having me,
Jeremy
Oh yeah, in case anyone is wondering - LRHogFan - I guess has a two part meaning here, but LR for Little Rock and Hog Fan for either Razorbacks or Harley motorcycles.
Welcome from the coast of Washington State. Take an MSF course, the best money you'll ever spend on riding!
I do plan on taking either a MSF course or a Harley Rider's Edge course. Not only for myself, but so my wife may feel a little better about me getting on a motorcycle.
