Been riding rice burners since '79 and after getting a touring bike last year (that is now up for sale) decided it was time to take the plunge so I ordered my first Harley... a new Road King. Should hit the dealer by the end of Feb and after some mods and upgrades should be ready to ride by Mid March! Just have to decide now whether to go with the V & H Monster Ovals or the Bub 7's. There is so much great information on this site that I figured I would listen and see what has worked well for others and not try to reinvent the wheel. - Gene
Welcome from Florida. The exhaust question is a good one but you must decide if you want looks or performance. slip ons, true duals or a 2-1 pipe. Slip ons with stock head pipes and crossover will still give you the scavenging effect, the true duals will rob you of about 3-4 horses (speaking from recent experiance with dynotune) and 2-1 will give you the most performance #'s.
