Hello everyone. New guy here, name is Greg although I have been dubbed gerg by my local club members. I have been a life long Harley admirer and it looks like I have a build coming together as we speak finally. Should have a rolling chassis together in the next 5 weeks or so. Good friend in Corona has spent most of his life building primarily Harleys - mainly old school rides. Starting with a late pan frame. I almost bought an '08 Nightster a few months back, but prefer an older look. So my vision, for now, is to have a late 50s - early 60s bike done up to look as though Harley built a Nightster back then. So a 50s twist on a late theme bike if that makes sense.
I have been caught up in the classic VW scene for several years. I have a '60 Single Cab that has a 9' bed so no trailer needed getting it around before it is a driver.
I'll post build pics as it comes together.
I'll definitely be looking here for advice no doubt.
Welcome from Tucson, AZ. Yeah, let's see those pics as you progress. You will never regret building your bike. I've built a couple of old panheads (starting back in the '70s) and loved every minute.
Ya, I am hoping to find an old pan or shovel engine I can go through - still got the feelers out for that.
I will get with Justin and get some initial pics. He had the frame cleaned up and ready for powder yesterday. He is basically getting me a good rolling chassis together so I can assemble from there.
