New to the Harley family from the Central Coast of California. After years of riding Hondas I finally bought my first Harley. A very nice looking (OK, I'm a bit prejudiced) 1996 Heritage Softtail. Mustang seat, saddle bags, dual exhaust. Just waiting on quieter mufflers.
Go to the forum main page and look it over, there’s a lot of sections and areas to ask questions. E.G. Areas for different bikes, Areas for Tech ?’s;. Frame;, Motors;, Tires;, Oils;, Lights:, etc.etc Just look it over and U will learn the ropes in here.
Most of the simple questions like (What’s the) best mufflers, best seat. Best Cams, best tires, best oils have been asked hundreds of times for years. Doing a search in this forum will get U a lot of answers.
So the search feature in here and Google. Will yield most answers..
PIX!!!!! We need pix. Welcome from central Washington. Lots of info in all the sections. Tons of great people. Learn to use the site and search function to their fullest extent. (Then we won't think you're a dumb a$$ newb when you ask questions). You'll find no better place to belong. Ride safe and show them bug covered pearly whites! Geez
Welcome from Minneapolis! But why quieter pipes? You're on a Harley now!
The Heritage has dual exhaust with nothing in the pipes but the exhaust gasses. The low throaty loud is OK, but the high pitch crack of the nothing between the end of the pipe and the explosion but the valve is a bit annoying. Hate having my ears ring for two days after a short ride.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I plan to search before asking questions.
