Hi,
After much searching, I finally purchased my first Harley. A 94 Road King, with a SE upper and a cam (the seller called it a "V2", but I've never heard of it), and some speedtrapp mufflers. The bikes got just over 60k on it, and looks as if it has been dropped at speed as most of the sheetmetal and engine guards have "custom curves and scrapes" on 'm. But it runs GREAT.
To start its off to a Harley shop to have a pro for analysis and general "just bought a bike" servicing. Then wrenching begins, its in need of some cables, hoses, sheet metal, chrome and other minor / cosmetic things. Being the tinkerer that I am, I'm finding myself enjoying wrenching on the bike....not as much as I enjoy cruising PCH in the heat of the afternoon.
As I make my way through the list of things to do with this gem, I'll be watching and posting as needed. I do know how to search the sight so I'll try not to make myself out to be too much of a newbie. For now, I'm checking out threads looking at performance upgrades... the SE stage 1, and tech. manuals.
