My name is Terry from Buffalo, Mn. which is just outside of Minneapolis. I'm a disabled rider with an '09 Tri-Glide that has been adapted for me since I'm paralyzed and have no use of my legs. My bike is fitted with a Klicktronic electric shifter and a dual lever brake system( so I can operate the rear brakes) and I will be adding a hitch soon so I can carry my wheelchair behind the trike.
I was injured at work back in 2007 where I suffered a fall and broke my back and severed my spinal cord. Since then I've been working my *** off to gain alot of upper body muscle so I can enjoy life again. So far so good, I've logged on about 1,200 miles on the bike and don't plan on slowing down. Look foreward to share my riding stories and tech tips to all the other Tri-Glide owners on this site.
God bless U and keep on doing all U can, I see that Ur a man that will never give up and U will make the people around better by Ur example.
I shattered L3, 13 yrs ago also in a fall, but thank the Lord it healed and I do pretty good..
One of my fellow workers (21yrs old) back in 1969 had a real bad fall at work very much like Urs before he finished his Apprinticeship.
GM trained him and he ended up being our office Guru, and time keeper.
He credited his Zest for life by having a purpose. He could more than a lot of us from his wheelchair and really loved his job.. and He just retired 2yrs ago.
So keep plugging alone, Never give in, and keep Ur faith, He will make U stronger..
NOW!!
