Question Odometer question, 08 Ultra
I went from an 04 Road King Classic to an 08 Ultra Classic. On the ultra, the odometer has miles, A and b, same as the road king. However there is a third setting of R. I do not have an owners manual as I bought the 08 used. Can anyone tell me what the R setting is for?

On my '09 Ultra, the "R" is supposed to indicate miles left on the gas tank until empty. It resets itself when you refill the tank and start riding and I think it pops up on the odometer when the low fuel warning comes on, if I remember correctly.

It'll show how many miles you have left on that tank of gas.

I use that "miles remaining" function all the time, as it seems to be quite a bit more accurate than the fuel gauge.
