Welcome from chicago.
The big worry with the po po bikes is no linger a worry with the miles on this one. hope your getting it for close to nothing. Police bikes are a dime a dozen up here and go cheap with very very low miles.

This past year purchased an '06 RKC. Sorry, cannot give you much info on the '98. Best of luck with the Road King though...they are great!
