This is my first Harley...always had Kawasaki and Suzuki's. I learnt to ride late in life when I moved from UK to Finland...and fell in love with biking.
Last year I got tempted by a 1962 sportser, 1970 Ironhead engine. It has been chopped and changed in a local bike shop....and I had a dream of being able to kick start it and convinced myself I should....
Here she is: .
I spent many days trying to kick start her and had to admit defeat when my aged knee was throbbing wey too much.
Since then I have converted her to electric start, battery box fallen off. Mounted new one in new place and also converted the foot controls to fit, along with new jockey shift and complete rewire. I have to say this and other forums have really excited me and given me inspiration.....I really am enjoying modifying parts. And especially trying to make the parts for myself from scratch. I make many many mistakes, but I am learning and its really good fun.
Really looking forward to contributing here where I am able to.
Andy.

Nice looking bike there. I hope youve been enjoying better weather over there in Finland than we have the last three Summers back here in Blighty. I'm beging to wonder if I should have bought a Jet Ski rather than a Harley.
