Hi everyone. Well, I have had a few bikes in the past. Mostly dual purpose. Yamahas, Hondas, Kawasaki's and a Triumph. I went down hard 5 years ago and haven't ridden since. I just purchased a 2005 Fatboy Anni Edition and I am waiting for it to get through the shop before I finally get to take posession. Just a few more days now and I will be the proud owner of my first Harley! Any words of advice? I am planning on joining the local HOG chapter soon. What do you all think of this organization?
Howdy, welcome to Harley Country. Congrats on the new anniv. FB. For being your first Harley, you sure picked a good one to start with. As for the HOG membership, I can't help you very much there. I just bought my first Harley and I haven't had a chance to find out myself yet. I hear that it's a good way to make friends and have a good time. Enjoy the ride.
I am sure you will be pleased with your ride, post some pics though.
I think H.O.G. is a great organization, however everyone of the local chapters are a little different and you can join H.O.G. and not joing the local group if they are not up to your expectations.
Congrats on the new ride, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Joining the local HOG will not cost very much, and you may make some new friends and riding companions. If it turns out it's not your thing, you can just go do your own thing and not be out too much. Ride safe.
Welcome and Congrats on the new Fatboy!!! I joined the local chapter for 24 dollars a year, they have organized rides every week and it also gets me 10 percent off anything I purchase at the dealer!!!

Sounds like you have yourself a great bike. Ride it like you stole it. As for H.O.G., I think it is a great organization. I belong to my local chapter and we have more rides than I can keep up with. We do a lot for MDA which is very rewarding. I've met some of my best friends at the H.O.G. Chapter. You get as much out of it as you put into it.
Glad you found us, and congratulations on your new ride. You'll get your year of National Membership free with your new bike. Go to one of the local meetings and check it out. Our annual dues for our local chapter is $10...so you can't go wrong. That gives you 10% off everything in the store as well...
