I thought I'd introduce myself here. I've been riding since I was 6 or 7, started riding mini-bikes, the normal stuff kids used to do in my day and age. I moved up to street bikes and took the MI motorcycle test, on my brother's Honda 350, which consisted all of riding a figure 8 in the parking lot ... boy have those days changed. Been riding on and off since then, and that was a long time ago, a really long time. I haven't rode for about 15 years when the wife said to sell the bike and we'd buy a boat. Well, after 3 boats and finally selling that one two years ago, I finally convinced her that it's bike time again. So I just picked up a '03 FLHRCI and I'm just loving it. I re-took the MSF basic rider course so I can ride on Military installations, and I had to take the GA MC test to regain my M endorsement. After moving around by 20 years in the USAF, I forgot to have the M endorsement from my MI license to the SC license when I lived there, then moving to GA .... well I have it again.
Just in-case anyone is wondering about the User Name, it was my father's nick-name that he had for years. Like they called Eisenhower "Ike", they called my father "Ick". Once the kids came along they started calling him Big Ick.
Greetings from Omaha, NE. I had a similar history w/bikes...went from mini-bikes to dirt bikes to street bikes - all over a span of 37-yrs. Once you get started - it's always in your blood. Ride safe!
