Just wanted to say Hi and thank all you people for inventing the Harley!
I have wanted one since I was a teenager watching Evel jumping our buses at Wembley, cool does not even come close. Anyway I now own a 2004 Sportster Custom with the usual stage 1 and screamin eagles. She is fantastic around our narrow winding roads, I was suprised at first at how well she handled and the speed at which you could hustle her through the bends.
Anyway to introduce myself - I am married, the wrong side of 50, a motorcycle courier and ex-serviceman (RAF) who had the pleasure of serving alongside some of you in Berlin many years ago - aah memories of your commisary, the cheese burgers and choc chip icecream. God bless the land of the free! You have no idea how we envied you guys, many thanks for letting us in to your facilities.
Now to the important stuff - I have just done an oil change on the old girl and I now have a problem. How do you get the damn filler cap back on. It only turns an eighth of a turn and will not seat. Was it Davidson or Harley who invented that little gizmo? Anyone got a solution?
