New member to the forum and new rider all together. The entire family started getting into HD's over the past year, and have collected quite the diverse lineup. I recently bought my first bike, an 81 HD Sturgis FXB. I am in the process of rebuilding the bike from the ground up, and need lots of advice!!! Looking into making the bike my own, and need some help with what looks good, what fits, and whats possible.
Due to the rareity of the bike, I am finding it difficult to find parts and custom bolt ons for the bike. I know that someone out there has to have done it before, so any and all help is appreciated!!!
Some things I want to do:
1. Shorty rear fender
2. Solo seat
3. Springer front end
4. Drag bars
5. Black out the bike
6. Vance and Hines short shot exhaust
7. Mini sissi bar
And the list goes on and on.....
As of right now my biggest problems are finding a shorty rear fender, solo seat, and short shot exhaust that will bolt onto an 81 FXB. If any of you know any companies or people that can help me out please let me know!
Check out some of my photos and any comments and feedback on what else should be done to the bike would be awesome.
