Default wind shield debat go for looks or function

Looking for reasons to stick with the stock windshield on the Ultra or go for the chopped shield, I like the extra protection from the wind and I believe it helps communicate with the passenger being we don't have radio communication helmets. However the chopped shield looks awesome.

The stock W/S for the Ultra was right in my line of sight, hated it. So I went for both, I bought one short/chopped tinted for my around town tootin round, and then one tall for my road trips. Takes 2 secs to change em out.

My Electraglide has a 12 inch clear, it blocks the wind well but the top is right in my line of sight, I am leaning heavily towards the Harley 7 inch smoked sheild and hoping for the best of both worlds, sporty look and pretty good wind protection. I've seen them on other bikes and they look great but I'm not sure about the buffeting. I'm 5'8" so I need a shorter windsheild that I can look over when I need to anyway, I hope it ain't too short!

I ride with the 7" smoked. More wind, sit up straighter. Less wind, slide down. Same shield all year round. Love it!!

I have the tall windshield and love it, especially when raining or during winter time... I say function.
