Hey all- I'm hailing from Cincy...looking for Bike number three, the other two (Wide Glide and SE VROD) are both gone, so I thought I'd listen in here and see who likes what, before I pick my next steed. The VROD was too uncomfortable for anything other than a short ride, and I'm kicking around the new SE Road King...any thoughts are appreciated....ride safe..df
Howdy, welcome to the forum. What I would do is go to the local HD shop and try out all the bikes that they have and make your decision based on that. Personally, I like the Softail family, but each to his/her own. Good luck
IMHO. If you are going to do a good amount of two up riding, the RK is a good fit. Nice and comfortable, but it still has an attitude. I donât do too much two up riding, so I have the Heritage Classic.
To me riding the RK was more like a nice big comfortable Caddy, while the Heritage is more like a BMW. Comfortable but you feel the road more. One reason I went with the Softail was the lack of vibration at idle. I do a lot of city driving and while sitting at lights the vibrating handlebars would bother me. The Softail doesnât do this.
