Recently picked up a 1986 FLST (C). Decent price and condition. 38000 on the aftermarket odo. I owned a Shovel back in the 70's. Haven't wanted a street bike since then till I saw this one on Craigs List. Loved the old school look. Never thought I would buy it but I wrote down the phone number. I watched it till it dropped off the list(no buyers).
Called the guy and he said he had given up for the winter and would try to sell it again in the summer. Turns out neither he nor the guy he bought it from ever rode it in several years. It had been traded to then to satisfy debts and they weren't riders.
He let me check it out and ride it. Original owner sunk some money in chrome and aftermarket stuff. Long story short...Love it!
