Default Hello from State College, PA.

Hi everyone. I have always wanted a HD my whole life, and Im finally deciding to do it at 30! I need any kind of advice you folks can give me on the purchasing of one, the insuring of one, and anything or everything else. I have never rode a HD, and I have very very limited time on a friends bike. I was most likely going to get one of the smaller HD's to begin with. So, basically I look forward to learning from all of you about the license processes, the buying, the modifying, and most of all the riding experience of a Harley. Thanks!

NM, welcome to the HDF. 1st I would take the motorcycle safety course . Then I would check out the different models of Harleys, try them on for size see which one fits you best. Thats for starters !

Howdy from Dallas. The size of the bike really does not matter. Take the MSF course, THAT will. Then get what ya want, take your time getting used to it around town.

Hi guys...I will definitely take the course. Would my local dealer mind if I went up there and sat on some bikes, and see what felt good to me? Ive never walked into one before..lol Well, at least not for buying purposes. Haha. Im pretty amped about the whole process actually.
