Open Air filters

hi all,
I am not a fair weather rider, well I just dont bother watching to see what it is going to do and get stuck in it, lol. I have been looking at getting an after market air filter, but unsure on what to go with.

Does the rain have a negative effect on the open air filters?

Yes it does. They make a rain sock for most of them.
