Noob question: Start from 2nd gear?
Hi, I guess this is a silly question...
I just bought a 2003 FLSTCI, this one has been modded to S&S 116 with modded intake, got 125HP/125FTLB torque. Every time I start with 1st gear I felt like it's gonna throw me away. So I tried to start from 2nd gear, but it that gonna hurt the trans or engine?

Probably not, but what you really need is more HP&TQ.

I always want a Nightster or Iron, but this one is so good deal, only $5500.00 with so many upgrade. I took it and then found out it's really too powerful. The previous owner was a drag racer..

it'd be harder on the clutch than anything..
maybe it has a quick opening throttle on her..
check with a HD dealer to see if thats the issue, might just need to put a regular one on.
