I just bought my black 48 today from the Miracle Mile HD dealer in Great Neck.
I am super excited to get it on Tuesday.
Does anyone have any experience with the Maintanence package and the roadside assistance program they offer? They both seem like good ideas but it adds on another 2k to the price... YIKES!
Congrats on the 48! Check out the Sportser section for questions on the 48!
As to the additional 2k?..yeaa..thats a lot of money..for peace of mind..if your not going to be turning the wrench, I'd say yes. Roadside assistance from AAA is about $109.00 if you get the premier plan I believe.
Good luck!
My son bought his 09 nightster there. My son bought the maintenance package he's in college, so not working steady it was good to know that his maintenance will be taken care of till he graduates from school and is working full time.
What made you get the 48? Did you do any road tests?
I went with the 48 because I fell in love with it the first time I saw it over a year ago. I like the forward controls and the riding position... I live in the city and I don't have a garage or any place to really work on the bike.. I'm leaning toward going with the 2 packages for piece of mind even though it takes a big piece of my wallet with it. The Great Neck dealer said they will send a box truck down to my home and pick up the bike and bring it back for anytime that it needs service. Pretty sweet eh? I liked the people there much more than the people I met at the HD dealer in LIC..
