New Harley Owner

Hello bought a 2011 Harley Roadking Classic in march my first harley ever owned and more than likely will be last.. 1500 miles on bike and dealer wont honor warrenty work... speedo started going crazy workin on and off quting going down road,no cruze,die at stop sign,no turn signal cancel,then all work fine for while then quit again,,, finially not workin most of time. throwin code P0501 VSS ..Took to dealer Lima Harley Lima Ohio where I bought and spent nearly 20 grand,,has had over week now says cause was the chrome spark plug boot covers that I put on from kurakyn wire was arching and causing the problem and now nothin they done is under warrenty said if was a harley item might been different,,,
I dont fhink you should have to kiss a dealers butt to keep warrenty.. so now I have a 700 to 800 bill.How in the world can a spark plug wire cause speedo problems??? has anyone out there heard of this,,, the service guy at dealer said these HD fourms are bunch of crap but I beleive different too many people too many problems for all to just be bull.My dealins in past ( Im 50 now so delt with a few) with dealers they always find something that goes back to buyers fault never theirs,just needed to vent to let others know

Welcome from Florida. I never heard of the problem, HD sells the same basic product, not to mentioned new wires shouldn't be sparking. Unless the metal melted the wires, it shouldn't be a problem. Why is the bill so high, and what exactly are they charging you for? As stated before, post in the touring section and you should get a lot of info, as for this forum being garbage, all I can say is it has saved me a lot of $$$$.
