Back again for the 3rd time! Im 22 years old now, I first joined in 2008 when I got my 2008 XL1200C in white gold pearl, I lived in WI at the time. I was hit by a drunk driver 5/01/09 and broke my leg in 6 places and lost a significant portion of my bone in my lower leg. (it stuck into the cooling fins) I bought my 2010 dyna wideglide before I could even walk and even started putting miles on it with a cast on.
A year after my accident I was walking pretty good and decided to move down to Houston for school and to try something new. I rode the Glide all the way here in 2 days (1200 mi) and my GF drove her car. I decided I didnt like crazy houston drivers and got rid of the Glide back in early January 2011, I started to get the itch more than ever to get back on a bike...
A few weeks ago I saw a new yellow Iron 883 at the dealership and fell in love, picked her up, and couldn't be happier. So far I have knocked out the baffle plugs, flipped the bars and removed the front fender but thats about it so far. Its going to be a bobber project that I will take my time on. Just ordered some 10" Z-bars yesterday. Ill post pics later today but it feels great to be back!!
Some before and after pics of the current transformation of the bike after just 4 months...
