Been riding since I was 16 and am now 60. Have always had a few bikes and have owned probably around 50 or so over that this time period. Have been riding Harley's for several years as well, but now am down to one, an 09 Ultra. Have learned at this stage of the game it is time to slow it down a little bit and take time to mell the roses, so I got rid of the Ducati 1098.
Was in a serious accident 4 years ago (to the day - funny, kind of) I was on the 04 Deuce. Totally my fault, and casused by my in-attention and day dreaming. Lesson learned after 44 years of riding, stay alert. Well I survived (barely) and am now pretty much none the worse for wear.
I am a pretty decent wrench, do my own work and repairs but am not a (Harley) expert by any stretch of the imagination. I have belonged to the a couple other Harley forums. On one of them a member, here Rick is bowa18, and he was talking about the install of the SE Compensator he did on his 09 Ultra. He gave me the link to where he posted the step by step and pictures on this forum, thanks again Rick. So being here, I thought I would join up, so here I am. Looking forward to both learning and contibuting.
