to owning a harley. Been lurking here for over a year and enjoying the articles, reviews, and forums. I'll be 54 this spring and only riding for 3 years now. Currently riding an 05 Boulevard that was also my son in laws first bike. After he got his first harley (nightster) and trying to sell the zuki, he got a rude awakening on used jap bike prices. I offered him his original asking price, nothing down, and I'd make payments to him, but I got the title up front incase I run into a sucker with more money than cents.
It's been paid off for a year now and I decided I enjoyed riding enough to get a bike that I'd enjoy more. The S83 had plenty of power, but not enough legs that I was comfortable running it faster than secondaries for much at a time. Prior to getting the bike, my main hobby was riding quads, the rougher, rockier the better. Made 2 trips to Moab and several to Colorado. Really enjoyed it, but just to dang $$$$$ to haul it for a day trip or even a week in UT.
Looking at new or near/new Road King to get this spring depending on what kind of deals I can find.
