Question Which one...Ahhhhh?!?!?

I don't have any experience on Harleys, only sport bikes. I haven't ridden consistently for a few years. I'm definitely getting a Harley in a month or so but would like to know what my best option would be. Here's my riding style/needs: I'm 5-8, 180#, like long rides, cumbersome rider, not fast, would almost never see hills, and need something thats inexpensive. My thoughts: I like the sportsters, especially because they're inexpensive. I was thinking of going with an 883 since there's plenty of room to improve from there. I've seen many sportsters for under $5500, which is where I'd like to keep since I'm paying cash. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

well if you want inexpensive, then stick with the 883, but if you want to enjoy your riding experiences more, you may want to try and find a cheap softail because they ride sooooo much better for the type of riding you are describing

You can get a used dyna for 6K if you look around. It's nimble like the sporty but nice on the freeway

Welcome from Oregon. I agree about the dynas. It's just possible that 6 months into owning an 883 you might wish you had gotten something bigger.
