Just picked up my first bike, a 2013 XL1200C in Black Denim.
Here's the changes made thus far (admittedly, not many and all were done by the dealer)
Black Screaming Eagle Slip-Ons with Black Buckshot Exhaust Shields
Chrome Horn Cover replaced with a Black one (not a big fan of chrome)
Stock Speedometer replaced with a Combo Digital Speedometer / Analog Tachometer
Fuel Sensor Kit
This being my 1st bike and all I really wanted to know what RPM's I'm shifting at and the added benefit of seeing what gear I'm in and seeing the fuel level is really sweet.
I drove it home last night and was nervous as hell for the first mile or so. This is the 1st time I've ridden other than taking the course to get my Motorcycle Endorsement. I've wanted a Sportster since I was a kid and finally decided to do something about it. The bike is awesome and I'm looking forward to putting many a mile on it: )

Congrats and welcome from Ft Myers. All your RPM shifting will become second nature with the more seat time you get. As for what gear, **** I still forget what gear Im in and try to shift and realize I am already in 5th. Just have some fun and enjoy!!!
When I lived in Hollywood, 15yr ago, we used to go to Everglades Park, at the end of Griffin rd at hwy 27. Nice little ride back then. A lot of bikes used to go there on Sunday
One of my favorite places down here is Shark Valley Loop Road off the Tamiami Trail, probably about 15 miles or so west of the Miccosukee Tribe's Casino. It's an old 17 mile road that was built over 50 years ago to look for oil and gas. They never found any and donated the land to the State. It's a great place where you can always see lots of gators, especially in winter and lots of birds of various kinds too. I'm looking forward to taking a nice long ride out there. I love the Everglades: )
