Hi there Forum members. I'm Rusty, newly retired at age 57, living in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country near Canyon Lake.
I've been riding since I learned to drive. Had an old Silver Pidgeon scooter in school (a former Shriner parade vehicle in severe red and white). First real bike was a Honda 350-four. Nice starter-bike.
Believing that two cylinders are the right number, I moved to a Honda CX500 for a while. Then I got into the busy day-job/father mode, and stopped riding for 15 or so years.
Been back on two wheels for 5 years now. Softail Deluxe was my first Harley, 5 years ago - wanted one since my 20's. That bike was a good friend, and I rode her all over the country. Sold the Deluxe and am about to pick up a new Candy-Orange Fatboy Lo, this weekend. Pretty excited. To say the least. Actually, I can hardly sleep!
I've also owned a bmw 1150R, a Bonneville, and a Moto Guzzi V7 classic along the way. Still have the Guzzi -- nice for short rides through the hills here. NOT SO nice for long rides.
Finally, if you're still awake at this point, I am a retired Finance manager for a widely reviled BIG company, and a professional musician (guitar), an animal lover and father of two grown kids.
