New Harley Owner

I will be a new Harley owner in the next few weeks and I wanted to know the pros and cons on getting spoke rims verses any other rims. I want 100 spoke rims with white wall tires for that old school look. Please send feedback

The biggest con is cleaning other than that really its alll about looks

Welcome to the forum from York Pa. I love the white walls, but you will need a jack to make cleaning them easy. I like them a lot but liked them clean. I also liked spokes but wanted the ability to plug tires. The newer spoke wheels run tubeless, if I were to get spokes thats what I would get.

Welcome to the forum from western KY! Congrats on the new ride, (Be sure to post pics when ya get it) As far as the spokes, or not... I have heard of a few (very few) guys who say they have had issues with their spokes comin loose. I don't know their riding habbits or maintainance habbits but I suspect maybe one of the two were possibly the culprit, but coulda just been one of those things that happen, but rarely. With my 99 Heritage I had the spokes, even pulled a trailer (on a lot of long and short hauls) and the only isssue I ever had with them was, like the other guys said, they get to lookin pretty bad unless you (or your ole lady) really like to shine on em! In fact I got tired of looking at mine being less than shiney and replaced them with solid aluminum Fat Boy wheels. My wife hated them so I told her if she'd clean em up and keep em clean I put em back on with the next set of new tires, she did, I did, after that she was great at keeping my bike (now both bikes) clean! Man, I def got a keeper!
