Just joined the site after purchasing a 2006 Ultra Classic from a friend. I started out with a Triumph Thruxton that I really liked, but took the wife for a ride once and knew I had to get something bigger when she fell in love with riding as well. I rented a Street Glide a month ago in Hawaii and rode around and was immediately sold on a Harley tourer. I have to say it's quite amazing being able to ride for more than 30 minutes 2 up without having to stop to put my back in alignment or feeling like my hips are going to explode out of my body at any second!
The bike needs a bit of cleaning up, but that's really perfect for me as I can't leave anything the way it is when I buy it, so the clean up is customization for me. This forum has already provided a wealth of knowledge for me through Googling topics and I can't wait to learn enough about these bikes to be a contributing member!
