Im Ben, im 30 and live in Auckland, New Zealand and Ive been wanting a harley for sometime now,
Ive been looking at NZ's version of Ebay/Craiglist at the bikes and love the look of the 883 Iron, the XL1200 Nightster, The XL1200 Forty Eight and the XL1200 Seventy Two (all pretty much the same bike by my understanding but all have the Style/look that does it for me) but ive written the 883 off now!
took my mates XL1200 nightster for a ride yesterday and am pretty much sold,
im 6'2 so probably a bit tall for a nightster, but with some forward controls and the right bars I think ill be sweet,
anyway im probably going to wait untill after winter (we've just come into Autumn here) before i buy something, so untill then im just going to be lurking around gathering as much info as possible
Welcome from northern Indiana USA. We are at the tail end of winter here. Seems like it just wont let go of us tho. We have a big storm go through the middle of the country.
I got a niece that it wondering loose around your parts. She travels from farm to farm doing odd jobs. She sends us photos and posts from her adventures. Right now...I hate her fricken guts!
The most torturous thing you could do to yourself is get a bike at the start of winter and then have it just sit until spring!
Yeah ive decided to wait untill winter is over as it will be my first road bike, I ride dirtbikes currently and have ridden mates road bikes but that was a few years ago, so while im confident i still dont want to tempt fate with wet weather haha
Da-mack, where abouts in NZ is she staying, alot of people come here to visit and then never want to leave (im English born, moved here with my parents age 12 and have never left the country in the 18 years since)
