Yet another newbie...
Tedster405 here, from the greater metropolitan Kansas City area. I'm a pretty new biker, just picked up my first Harley last summer (my divorce present to myself). I'm a proud grandpa, guitar picker, and weather dude for the National Weather Service.
In other news, this morning I faced what may be one of most bikers' worst nightmares. Very unseasonably warm this morning, thought I'd ride into work. Of course, it was dark, and I had barely made it 1/4 mile down the road when something big and tan flashed in my headlights. Something tan, moving, with antlers. I braked, swerved, but was unable to avoid hitting a six point (I think) buck. I kept the bike fairly steady and got away from the situation with relatively minor damage, but STILL... I took the bike home, put it in the garage, changed my underwear, and drove in to work.
