Default 16" rear wheel a Deuce

It's time for tires and I'm fishing for some other wheel options.
Is anyone aware of a good, old fashioned 16" chrome wire wheel that will fit and bolt right up on my 2007 Deuce?
I can't find much info about it and I'd rather not pay for a 'custom' wheel of I can avoid it.
I know I could get an 18" and everyone would think it's cool.
But, I like to see a little more tire than that.
Thanks in advance, folks.

You're in a tough spot without going "custom" but you might consider the following options that may work for ya.

Install a 17x4.5" Rear Laced Spoke from a 2006-2007 (native 21mm wide bearings) or 2008-2015 Dyna (native 15mm wide bearings, see installation methods described in post#5). Not the 16" you're looking for, but Laced and the same dimensions as your deuce.

Use a 2000-2007 Softail or 2000-2008 Touring Rear hub (No Cush Drive or has removable Cush and will accept 21mm wide bearings) and lace to a 2009-2015 16x5" Rear Touring Hoop (rim). Can't see why the 5" (vs. 4.5") won't work except for you having to increase your tire size. Maybe the spokes from the acquired "Parts" wheels will work...dunno haven't looked into it, otherwise you'll need new spokes. Install 3/4" ID x 21mm wide bearings if not already installed and in good condition. I guess this wheel would be "semi-custom".

Can you put a 180 (180/65B-16) tire up in there where your 160 is? That looks like the smallest, readily available, bias tire size that would be recommended for a 16X5" rim. If not, that's going to be the sticking point

OK, just found this one...Shinko 777 170/70-16 75H Load Index. That will go on a 16X5" and might work better.

Thanks Multi!
That's the best info I've found so far. You can go nuts trying to study every model. I appreciate the short cut.
I can definitely put a 180 under it and that's what I'm planning. Running a 16" wheel is not a priority as much as I just thought it might be more readily available without having one made. I didn't realize that the '06-'15 Dynas have the same wheel dimensions. I'll look in to that to double check offset, etc.

My current research was pushing me toward using the softtail hub with the touring hoop. That's a good idea. That would give me more tire option, I think.
Of course, it will all come down to money in the end, but you literally brightened the whole situation with your creative response. Sometimes you can search this forum all night and find nothing but good questions with bad/negative attitude replies, dead links, and links to expensive *** mfg's.
Thanks for real input.

On the Dyna 17x4.5 rear wheel, your first choice should be a 2006-07 wheel because they use the 21mm wide bearings. Your Deuce requires 3/4"ID bearings which are only available in the wider 21mm wide bearing (without using a reducer in a larger ID x 15mm wide bearing).
I focused on that with the Softail and Touring hub in the previous post and should have clearer on the Dyna Reference. I will edit my previous post to reflect that.

Alternate methods would be to:
Use a 2008-2015 Dyna rear wheel (which uses 25mm ID x 15mm wide bearings), 25mm OD to 3/4" ID Reducers, and cut new axle/wheel spacers.
OR
Use the common 3/4"ID x 21mm wide bearing with the 2008-later internal bearing spacer sleeve and allow the bearing to extend (and protrude) an additional 6mm (21mm-15mm) per side. Cut new axle/wheel spacers.

You are a wealth of info. I ended up finding a brand new 16x5 Cush drive for $105 shipped.
So, I jumped on it. It's on the way. Now, I've got to find the touring hub and your info has helped a ton. I think I'll be happier with the 16" as it seems like there are many more tire choices and I can step up my tire size later if I go to a 3/4" belt or maybe a chain drive.
Hopefully, I can sus up a hub pretty cheap and find a good Indy to help me get it all together.
I'm pretty stoked about ditching the solid wheel.
Are there any other special considerations I need to be concerned with on the touring hub/axle setup?
Thanks again!

How will I know if the Cush is removable? They didn't specify the year of the Cush drive wheel. I've asked them for a part number. Or, I could just be patient and wait for it to come in.

I've found a 16x3 2000-2008 wheel. But, it comes with a 25mm bearing on one side and no bearing on the other side. It's super cheap because the hub chrome is chipped/pitted (not a big concern since I've got to take it apart either way)
It's Harley part #40960-08
Is this what I'm looking for?
Are bearing kits available to retrofit?

It won't be removable...16x5" rear wheels were used 2009-2015 Touring Models with an integral cush drive.

Removable Cush Drive - 2008 Touring (only)

2007 - No Cush
(below)

2008 - Removable Cush
(below. *Note #32 - Spacer used behind the bearing to allow 15mm wide bearings to be used in a 21mm wide bearing hub and keep them out close to same dimension as the wider bearing were)

2009 & Later - Integral Cush
(below)

A 2000-2007 Softail or
2000-2008 Touring hub should have the potential for project execution. , but to be safe, I would check rotor mounting surface to pulley mounting surface to right side bearing (rear "Primary" side) dimensional relationship compared to your deuce. The softail hub should be a "no brainer" because...well, you have a softail, but i can't swear without measuring that touring hub is identical.
