Default Tire shine products

I noticed that the products that I use to clean and put a shine on my car tires have something to the effect of "Do not use with two wheel vehicles" on the labels. Why would a product that is good for cleaning and shining a car tire be bad when used on a motorcycle? Just wondering.

Well try putting some on your tires and let us know what's up, also put some on the seat too. So when you crash because your are too slippery you will slide of your seat.

Touchdown nailed it.
IMO, I wouldn't touch my tires with any product other than soap and water. They are the only thing between me and road rash so why tempt fate with anything that may compromise traction.

Exactly!!
Same reason you should never use synthetic oil in your bike, it will make the bearings skate and destroy the motor.

I never have liked shiny looking tires. To get them clean and black I use Dow Scrubby Bubbles
bathroom cleaner . Spray it on dry tires, let it foam and hose off. Works on bugs and grime too.

The only product that I believe is safe to use is Wesley's Bleach White. The tires won't "shine" but they'll look brand new again. Follow the instructions.

The only product Dunlop recommends is dilute Simple Green/Magic Eraser. They specifically advise against Westley's Bleche White. Which is no longer available. Not sure about the Black Magic new formula.

The only thing I will use is soap & water and a good scrub brush. My advice is If you use something that makes your tires shinny you better take it easy until its worn off the contact patch area
