Default Whats New In The Tire World?

My 2003 Electra Glide needs new shoes, I replaced them 7500 miles ago with stock HD Dunlops... I would love to get some more life out of my tires but I don't know where to start looking. My Road Glide had Commander II's and they were good but I didn't like how they handled the rain. Please help point me in the right direction and put some new shoes on my baby!!!

Try Metzeler 888's. I can't get rid of my rear tire. I've beat on it and it's lasted about 15k so far. Getting ready for new ones though. Great in rain too.

I swapped the stock dunlops for the 888 Metzlers as well. Great ride and no wiggle on the snakes/grooves in the pavement like the dunlops do.

I use Elite III MU90B16 for my 07. It’s about the best all around for our size tire... just came back from the hills riding 2up and got caught in the rain for about 3 hours, they performed well.
I have never tried the new Metzeler 888 yet because I get around 11000 out of the Elite III, I keep my pressure around 40 solo and 42 2up.

I might have to try an Elite 4 . I guess the 140/90/16 with 77h load rating would work.. I have another Elite III in the attic waiting in the wings.
