Default Wheels on 2008 Touring

I've got a 2008 FLHTC approaching the time for new tires. I'm considering going from the spoke wheels to a mag wheel and now would be the time to do this.

I really like the 19" Harley Chrome Enforcers for the front wheel. Everything I find on the internet seems to indicate this wheel would fit my bike without modification. Am I correct in this? As I'm concerned because Harley doesn't list it as a wheel that would fit my bike.

Now the next problem is that there isn't an Enforcer that will fit the rear on my year bike, correct me if I'm wrong. Since you can't really see the rear wheel I'm considering the Solid Fat Boy 16" Wheel which Harley indicates is a valid wheel for my bike and model year.

I read the installation instructions for both wheels and they indicate the following:

Mismatching wheels and installation kits or installing wheels not approved for your model can cause loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury.
Which of course makes me think I shouldn't have mismatching wheels. But, the irony is that the Solid Fat Boy doesn't have a matching front for my year either. Which implies that you would have to have mismatching wheels anyway if you were to use the Solid Fat Boy on the rear. What gives?

Sounds like I can reuse my existing rotors, but I'd need to get the bearing kit for both front/back, along with new screws for the rotors and sprockets. Correct? Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

If Multihdrdr says it'll work or can be made to work, I'd trust it.

If you are buying the front Enforcer chrome wheel new you have two options. Most use the Street Glide wheel swap because of the availability. This wheel uses floating rotors made for this type of wheel so your rotors won't work. The new rotors and hardware are about $250 additional. However, the Enforcer from a Free Wheeler uses the same pattern rotor so your rotors will bolt on. Compare the two wheels so you can see the difference in the rotor opening. Either will work.

Here's the wheel lt1-xjs is referring to @ H-D ...No reason to think it shouldn't work fine...(Personally, I would probably double check the rotor-to-rotor width to make sure it wasn't slightly different. Like something weird for the Trike) and you can re-use your rotors if desired

lt1-xjs, is there a thread or picture on here of someone using that wheel on a Non-Trike?... I think there is/was, but don't recall

That front Enforcer you linked will work, but as mentioned, you'll need different rotors and hardware

That 16" Fatboy Rear wheel you linked will also work fine, but if you don't buy from H-D, be aware that there are Fat Boy wheels that look the same (to most people), but the offset is slightly different.

I don't recall seeing one installed on a bike. They use the same inner spacer and bearings as the '08 up bikes however, they used rear rotors on the front of the trikes. I had this picture from a while back that shows how a front '08 rotor sits on the wheel.

Hmm...They show the FreeWheeler OE Front Rotor (not your pictured rotor) has a "Front". It's used as a "Front" on several 2-wheel single disc bikes

Thanks guys. I think my best bet will be to just go with the street glide version of the wheel and buy new floating rotors.

Any thoughts on the mismatched wheel issues?

I have a Rear 16x3 Chrome Airstrike wheel that would work for you

I stand corrected, the 41500068 is a front rotor. My hasty search took me to the 41500069, the rear, which I failed to see.

Keep in mind 19" looks great but will suffer long rides comfort.
