Is this normal?
I have a 2019 SGS with stock Dunflop tires and 4500 miles on the clock. I noticed few things recently. First...when I ride alone on a smooth surface and when I weave side to side, I hear a wowowowowowowoww sound coming from the rear. It's hard to explain, but it sounds like a Jeep Wrangler when I weave like that. Second, when riding with my wife, I hear that noise from the back even if I go straight. Finally, I also noticed that at times, my front handlebars "shimmy" when I go about 30-35 miles per hour. What I mean by that is, they are not smooth, but move side to side. This is not consistent, but I do notice when it happens. I ruin my PSI per recommendation of the dealer when the bike was bought, I believe it is 40 in the back.
Would this be a tires issue? I checked them and they look fine to me.
Thanks for your help!
My FLHX started the same way after I bought it last rear. See wear pattern in pic below. That’s probably 9k miles. I’m at 10K, still with 5/32nds, but tired of listening to it so I’m replacing it tomorrow.
