Could be the belts inside the tire, seen wear like that when one of the internal belts was out of wack a bit, or it could be the way the rubber was molded on to the belt during the manufacturing process.

You're either leaning to the right or the forks aren't even (left side is longer).
Wouldn't take much

I should have done a search first, there is a lot of stuff out there on this wear pattern on these Scorcher 11 tires. Here is another thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/2018-...tire-wear.html It looks like it isn't the suspension problem I was thinking.

The back tire is close to needing replacement also, the work order says back is 2/32" and cupped, it looks evenly worn to me. there is a Indy here that specializes in tires, and keeps most in stock. I will go there for the rear when ready.

My riding routes are mostly left turns, and with the road crown I could understand if it was the left side.

When they put a new tire on, the tech found a rear base gasket leak. I saw it before, but its right under the trans vent, so I figure that was the source. Very little oil there. They replaced the gasket under warrenty.

I had the same tyre on my Sportster and after 12000 miles didn't have uneven wear but they did go flat across the middle. I got a nail so I had to get the rear changed. Not wanting to spend Michelin money I have gone for Avon Spirit ST as they are also low profile radial and are not wearing flat.

I'd have a hard time believing it was a broken or slipped belt in the tire. Especially if the wear is even around the circumference of the tire.

from my personal experience with tires that have slipped/ broken belts (I just had 2 tires with broken belts replaced on my work truck a few weeks back, and just yesterday I noticed my buddy had one on his trailer he was pulling) is that the tire will have a much more worn spot around where the belt is broken, rest of the tread will have normal wear, the tire usually shakes pretty good like it's very out of balance, and in an extreme case like was with one on my work truck was you could actually see a "bend" in the tread where it looked like the tread was kinked perpendicular to the direction of rotation. And yeah, that tire shook a 1-ton pickup with a hydraulic bale bed on it like it had the death wobble.

Maybe after you get the new tire installed, see what happens when you ride straight with your hands off the bars.. See if the bike starts pulling one way or the other.
That would reinforce the suggestion of rear wheel alignment being the issue.

My 750 Street has Scorcher tires and friend of mine has one also. We have had disappointing tire service with them.
I just hard a Bridgestone replacement mounted . It is on the bike now but snowing and really crappy out now.
Will be testing it out . Almost anything has to be better than the Scorcher.

I did do that. Before I changed it, I would take hands off and let it wind down. I don't have cruise control, so I couldn't tell a lot. But, when I got to low speed it would start weaving. With the new tire, it doesn't do that. This will be my last Scorcher tire.
