Currently running Avon cobra chrome. Need to replace rear only and can’t decide between an AE2 or the Metzeler 888. Forget about the Avon, it’s impossible to find atm. Thanks for the input.
I can find either as well as the Michelins. Only thing holding me back on the AE2’s is the change in production . Had the American elites before and had no issues. Did really like the cobras.
prices for all are around $360 cad.( AE has a $25. Rebate on atm)
We’re going to be seeing more and more of these kinda threads… all options suck now.. and all are too expensive. They have us over a barrel and they are having their way with us.
Going with AE2s. Going to change both as front is almost 5 yo. Also Dunlop has a $75 rebate for two installed by authorized dealer.
Feel ok with prices compared to other suppliers I’ve checked. HD dealer asks just stupid money!! Who would pay that?
I’m running a set of AE’s I scared up a year ago, and when they wear out I’ll likely run AE2s.
Good to hear! I liked the AEs before I ran the cobras. It’s sounding like the AE2s are an improvement from the AEs. We’ll see. The AE line has a good history with riders.
