Replacing the front wheel on my 05 RK Custom. I do not have a manual and am in need of the torque specs for bolting the brake rotors to the weel, axel nuts, etc. If someone has this information for an RKC05 or compatible your help would be much appreciated.
Thanx
First, its OK to ask because you are going to get a service manual for your ride and pay it forward. Second, repeat the following: I will get a service manual and not count on other people to drag thier manual out and look up $hit for me- refer to #1, its OK to ask.....
Not sayin this is the same for your ride, but here is the data in my manual:
Source: 2002 OFFICIAL FACTORY MANUAL- Part No. 99483-02 for 2002 Touring 1450cc 5-Speed Models
Front Brake Disk TORX Screws 16-24 ft lbs ("using new screws")
Front Axel Nut 50-55 FT lbs ("Coat the Axel with ANTI SEIZE LUBRICANT ")
Front Axel Holder Nuts 11-15 ft lbs
Front Caliper Mounting Bolts 28-38 ft-lbs (caliper to fork)
Brake Caliper pad pins 180-200 in-lbs
I double checked the torque specs with what I typed- somebody keep me honest please.
My axle spacers are slightly different width.
