plug a tire?
so i was out riding on Saturday morning. I was on my 06 nitetrain with a brand new stock rear tire (200/55/17). I felt the rear end get a little squirrelly so pulled over and discovered a flat tire.
As I waited for a tow truck i tried to examine the tire to see what/why it went flat. I possibly might have found a spot where something punctured the tire. It is in the middle of the the tire.
This tire barely has 150 miles on it.
I have read mixed reviews on whether to plug a hole on a motorcycle tire.
Im lookin for personal experiences if anyone has ridden with a plugged tire.
This bike is basically used as my bar hopper. it is strictly ridden solo.
Comments, thoughts opinions appreciated.
A new tire will cost roughly $200 plus labor to install....
thank you

I have absolutely no problem running a tire with a plug in it, if it's for the rear. Done it a couple of times and never had a problem. You're going to see people say the opposite here as well, that they'd never do it due to safety concerns. It's an individual call, but I have no hesitations riding with a plug.
I brought a brand new 08 Fatboy home and while looking it over in the driveway discovered an nail in the rear.
I plugged it and went 8K miles on it.
Because of libilities issues pretty much gotta do this yourself.
