I have a 1981 HD FLT tour glide with cast wheels and need the following:
front and rear bearings with races and seals. Can't seem to find them anywhere. HD Dealers want over $200. Already have over $2k invested in restoration. Anyone know we're I can find. Tried Ebay no luck.
Thanks
Ben

i fined the same i have 1981 FLT but i live in the UK and the post costs more than the bearings i am going to try to mach them but the needle bearing shaft is the problem can some one help with that
Tony
Tony, I also live in the UK and have owned Harleys since the '70s. Those tapered roller wheel bearings were the same as a Ford car of some sort (don't recall). Find a local bearing stockist and take one of your bearings and an oil seal in. They are stock items made by many brands and used for all manner of applications, so should be widely available. Don't tell them they are for a Harley. as they may switch off!
I am knot quite sure how all the sites work or were to type but some one mite read it iv got the tilers now but need the needle one with the Bering bit it runs on iv seen one in the USA but they cost more to post then to by on a bit of a looser 1981 FLT rear wheel bearings
i think its called Bearing Spacer 2.424in. without Flange A-43613-92* iv been looking on eBay but dont seem to do them as a set and to get HD parts in the UK i get told its a old one iv got a triumph speed twin 1960 and a matchless 1947 and i can get parts just like that if i had known it was going to be that bother i would knot but love the engine sound !

Tony, for part numbers refer to Ronnies parts website, where you can see exploded diagrams for your bike and quote us correct part numbers. What manual are you using? Also which Norfolk do you live in, the original or a later one?!
