WTF Is up withe the extra 1K tacked on Softails?

WTF Is up withe the extra 1K tacked on Softails?
I went into my local dealer this weekend to get an oil filter and started browsing
around the shop. I stopped at the Softails and noticed all the tags of $17,300 were
marked out and they had $18,300 on them. I asked the salesman wtf is up w/that and he told me that all the DFW dealers were instructed to raise the price of all thier Softails and Tourers up 1K
to compensate for the Harley Strike and that its affecting thier shipmentsthis month and June. I cant believe the MOCO would tell thier dealers this since the 08's are due out in August. I called a few other dealerships in the DFW area and they all had jacked the price 1K on Softys and Tourers. Are they doing this all around the country or just Localy? Hell I'd tell em to shove it and wait for the 08's. The Americqan public pays the price for corporate greed again? UGH

Didn't notice atack on at Longview when I was there Saturday, but I wasn't looking too close. I figured once the dealers had the bikes in their grubby li'l paws they'd already financed/paid forthem.

Was at the HD dealer in Plano, Tx this past Saturday. They had no prices on any of their bikes. Thought that was an odd thing. Any of ya'll see that at your local dealers?

I went to FT Worth Harley Sunday and they had em marked up 1K. I called Texas Harley and Longhorn harley and they both had marked up thier prices 1k.
KBFXLI I dont see how a Union member that refuses to allow the company to create a 2 Tier Pay sytem would make the Barganing Unit Greedy. The MOCO jacked the Prices 1K to make up for thier lost sales ( If any ) during the 3 weeks.The Milwaukee-based motorcycle maker reported net income of $192.3 million for the Quarter so dont gimme any of that union greed crap.
