I've done a search and read this has happened to other RK owners. Does anyone know how to "unfreeze" the lock so I can get it to a dealer? I can't move it, stuck in the driveway and I can't imagine what it would cost me to get it transported to a dealer. Any ideas?
You may have tried this..... try pushing the handle barone way while trying to turn key....then the other way.....maybe too much pressure holding the pin from releasing....hope that works...good luck....just might need some lube when you release it..
Thank you for the info. Yes, I did try that and there's just not enough play in it to move much. The dealer recommended I spray WD40 in the lock...that just made a mess. Any other ideas? I just got the schematic off Bikebandit.com http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandi...dept_id=511402 Looks like if I take the Nacelle off, I should be able to get to the lock. From there, I'm wondering if I can get the lock free??? Anyone ever tried it?

Is it as easy as taking off the nacelle, lock cover and then taking the lock off? When I get the lock exposed, how do I get the lock freed up?
Happened to the brides 02 RK twice. Once in Myrtle Beach and we removed the lock and bought a new one, happened again 3 years later in a Wal Mart parking lot in Utah, and we live in VA!!!!
Got out the tool kit and went to work, never have put another one back in and prolly never will.
You might get lucky and hold your mouth just right and get it to turn but after fooling with it for an hour solid my patience run out.
Even took the lock apart to try and figure out what was up but could find nothing obvious, inside the lock was nice clean and smooth, with grease of course. I had kinda figured it was where she would wash the bike and get the lock wet but I found no rust or nothing.
Yeap... have the same problem on my RK... have not used it again.... love that aspect of my shovel, where you can put you own heavy dutylock on the fork lock..... Looked at an 03 a couple of months ago... 2,000 miles and it is on it's 3rd fork lock....
