BACK-OFF Module
After almost getting rear ended by an inattentive cager I went out and bught the BACK-OFF module to install on the rear brake light system to automatically flash the brake lights 5 times before they stay on steady. Anyone ever use this module and if so how do you like it and how hard was the installation??

I use a like product by Kuryakyn (Panacea LED lights) in which the brake light flashes 3 times and then holds steady. Also the turn signals act as running lights ... there are some more specific post on this product ... I like them (sorry, don't have part numbers). Bought from M&M cycles at 20% off ....

I used this one on my Travel trunk rear brake lamps. Works great, took about 2 hrs, since I have had to take the travel trunk all off the tour pack (rack) and un-bolt the steel plate in the bottom of the trunk to get to the wiring. Then it was only 4 wires to splice into the factory harness.
Works great I think its the best lighting treatment to the rear that I have done thus far!

Something to consider .....
The "back-off" type flasher modules are illegal in some/most/all (?) states.

I thought the lights in the tour pack were bright enough but I am again wrong. I know back off works and I like the concept . I wonder does any one know how to install signals on tour pack in addition to brake lights??? That would be heaven if any one knew how.. The Back off system worked great on my standard and I went to the HD part that makes your signals running lights, seem to work well. On the open road the more lights the better. If I could put a Christmas tree on my reaR I'd be a happy camper
