This is aimed at all the guys in the uk where the headlight runs one side for dip and one side for main.
I`ve finished my conversion - junked the old light and fitted 2 single twin filament bottom mounts instead.
Now both sides run main and dip, lights are a bit smaller, only 4 inch instead of 5, but I think it makes the front even wider - what do you guys think ?
Good job. Nice to see you get it done so both lights can work like here in the US. I have always hated (don't know why...just do) seeing one headlight on on those metric bikes so I can understand your pain. Excellent mod and I think those lights look great.
That looks good; can you take a couple close up pics of the mounting brackets, and wiring connections? Thanks.

Basically I used 2 single bottom mounts with the stock mount plate. Cos the lights are only 4 inch not 5 they fitted perfect. Made a couple of spacers to fit between each set of mounting lugs ( to stop them squishing together when you toghten the nuts, and made an extended bolt from a piece of stud with 2 chrome acorn nuts.
The wiring was simple I soldered the two sets of main, dips and earths from the lights together, then cut off the stock plugs and soldered each set directly to the wiring loom.
Cant get pics cos I also used shrink wrap on each individual set & then shrink wrapped the whole lot so its completely tidy.
