I know this has come up in the past but I have been unable to locate it in the search. I am looking for the part #'s on the detachable hardware that goes on the rear turn signals and strut bolt? So I can add a detachable attitude bar to the bob. I know there is diffrent set ups with relocation of the turn signals, but that is what I am trying to avoid right now. I know someone had a set up where the turn signal stayed in the same location just moved outward aboutan inch or so out. I tried working with the stealer but all they kept giving me the relocation kit to the plate and I have the layed down plate so it wouldnt work. If there is any other ideas out there please share. Thanks in advance......
RE: Detachable hardware 4 attitude bar on street bob
Not sure if this is what you need, but it should work, on HD's website, in the search portion. This is what I just put on my bike this past Saturday;
Turn Signal Relocation Kit 53968-06
Chrome Low Sissy Bar Upright - Medallion Style
52735-85
Low Backrest Pad
51711-06
Detachable Sideplate Kit
52866-06
Detachable Docking Hardware Kit
53961-06
Sport Luggage Rack - Chrome, Five Bar
53862-00
Metal Adhesive-Backed Logos - "Bar & Shield" Logo
99352-82Z
I had a HUGE debate with parts guy at my dealer. We determined that if you have saddle bags, the relocation kit must come with the bags because it states that you don't need the relocation kit if you have saddle bags...
RE: Detachable hardware 4 attitude bar on street bob
Thanks brother, I do belive that is the one I was looking for, seems likeall the dealers are stuck on the same beliefs, I pretty much was told the same thing? do you have any pic's of the set up? Thanks again
RE: Detachable hardware 4 attitude bar on street bob
Let me get it straight though. Are you looking for the passenger ones, or for a solo rider? The ones I gave you are for passenger. Let me know. If it's what you want, I'll post some pics. Just gotta get my *** out there to do it
RE: Detachable hardware 4 attitude bar on street bob
I have all the quick disconnect from HD on my Bob. I have the sissy bar and pillion pad and had to relocate the turn signals. Check out the only 2 pics I was able to put on this site. I have the same part #s as you were given in the post above. DO NOT BUY THE PADS THAT GO UNDER THE PILLION. IT IS A BIG WASTE OF $. I went to the local hardware store and got more protection for the fender than the little 2 in. stick on pads that HD sells........
RE: Detachable hardware 4 attitude bar on street bob
I cut the turn signal bolt off with a hacksaw held by visegrips.and popped the turn signal socket out with a small screwdriver by putting it in the hole the bolt wires was in and pushing the socket out.
