Default still have vibration after dealer "fix"

OK. I got the 1K service done, and had all the extras fixed, like the 25 degree injectors (but i'm not sure they remapped the ECM), the handlebar risers tightened, controls leveled (they were >1" different between left/right hands), and supposedly they fixed the vibration.

they didn't. it was specified as an rpm-related vibration, and their fix was to true the front wheel. I figured the rpms for the speed the vibration starts and thought maybe some people here might know some likely causes. in all gears, starting at about 2400-2500 rpm, there is the high-speed vibration I made a post about a couple weeks ago. very hand and foot tingling. I didn't know until tonight what rpm related to what speed in ech gear, so I never rode it out to see if/when it goes away. i'll do that next time I ride it. also, it is MUCH more noticeable when I let off the throttle.

I'll post again when I find out if/when it goes away higher in the rpm range. In the meantime, does anyone have a similar vibration or any thoughts on this?

I can take it to any dealer for warranty issues, correct? I may try getting another dealer to make any necessary warranty repairs if i can.

Some questions:

Is your bike an 06 or 07 model?

Have you checked the ALL the motor mounts?

Does your "check engine" light ever come on?

Do you hear a whining sound coming from the transmission?

Do you have trouble "finding nuetral"?

Does the vibration occur, or is it as severe when the clutch is disengaged?

Does it vibrate in nuetral?

Is the vibration as bad in nuetral?

Is the vibration always there? (When hot/ when cold, etc.)

Mine vibrates in the same way when cold.....once it's heated up it diminishes almost completely. My top motor mount was loose when the bike was new and caused some vibration. I fixed it myself.

i looked at them. i see no loose hardware.

Does your "check engine" light ever come on?

Do you hear a whining sound coming from the transmission?

no

Do you have trouble "finding nuetral"?

no

yes

Does it vibrate in nuetral?

yes

Is the vibration as bad in nuetral?

yes

Is the vibration always there? (When hot/ when cold, etc.)

yes

it's there under all of the following, hot AND cold.

I started it, brought it to 2500 in N, clutch disengaged.

2500 in N, clutch engaged.

2500, in gear, sitting still, clutch disengaged.

on the road, the vibration shifts from the grips and pegs to the seat around 2800 or so, and does not go away after that, but does get faster with engine speed.

if I get to problem speed (like 28+ mph in second) and disengage the clutch, vibration goes away as engine idles down.

all of the above tells me that it is somewhere from the clutch forward.

I checked the best I could. none loose or damaged.

I wonder about alignment though. it SEEMS, if I remember correctly, that the front forks are turned ever so slightly in relation to the fuel tank when I'm going straight down the road. could I be seeing things, or does this point to an alignment issue?

took it to another dealer today. they said there's definitely an abnormal vibration. they took it in and checked all the mounts and 4 of them said it's definitely got an abnormal vibration.

Solution: "If it's something bad, it'll get worse."

I hope you have the "abnormal vibration" written down on a work order of some sort from the 2nd dealer, if not I'd sure get back there and have him whitness that for you, just for future use.
